'Alegria' Squad and Advanced gymnasts
Club competition 2015
SGC ran its first ever Club Competition and Fundraising event on Sat 4th July 2015. We needed to raise money for a much needed Evo Tumble track which would help bring the club up to its rivals standards. Our squad gymnasts were having to travel as far as Deal to practice on sprung floors at other clubs for competitions. With lots of help and organising we sold cakes, jewellery, leotards, uniform, refreshments, sweet cones and even had professional photographers offering amazing still and action shoots! There was also a raffle and some fantastic prizes were donated. We raised over £4,000 and we are still going! Thank you to all the mums and dads that helped.
It was a fantastic morning, with mini Floor and Vault displays from our 4-5 year old 'Next Steps' class and a friendly judged Novice, Intermediate and Advanced Floor and Vault competition. The development squad did a fantastic show to Taylor Swifts 'Shake it Off' and the Advanced and Squad girls performed a beautiful piece to Cirque de Soleil's Alegria. Everyone worked so hard in the weeks leading up to the event and we are all so proud of everyone.
WE RAISED OVER £4,000 FOR NEW EQUIPMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!
